It’s the time of Harvest Festival and a time where the children reflect not only on the importance of the harvest, but also on people who are less fortunate than themselves. A big thank you to all who gave and helped.
In the forest this term Lower Juniors have been creating art work in the style of Andy Goldsworthy, making dens and building dead wood fencing. They have also enjoyed using tools to make toasting sticks for cooking their marshmallows over our woodland fire.
In the Infants its been London that has been burning and King Charles coming to the rescue. The Upper Jun-iors have been looking at the plight of children in Victorian Times which they have linked to their work in creative writing.
Much thanks must go to Allie who with a few helpers held an apple pressing event. The juice was excellent and £91.91 was raised. It is such a worthwhile event that we hope Allie will combine it with a Friday Forest School so all pupils can see how apples are converted to juice. The apple remains could be used to make apple and blackberry pie. My favourite. Yum!

On Fridays the Infants have been swimming. Congratulations go to Fearne, Maisie, Pippa & William who have all been awarded their red badges. After half term the Juniors will start swimming and Years 5&6 will have a 6 week dance/gymnastic block at the Aspire Dance Studio. We are also starting after-school Football/Tag Rugby on Mondays after Half Term
